Carewest Signal Pointe opened its doors to the Calgary community in 2000 and has since grown to offer programs and services for 54 long-term care residents.

Carewest Signal Pointe was designed in partnership with Dr. Uriel Cohen, former Director, Institute on Aging and Environment School of Architecture, University of Wisconsin, under the seven principles of housing design for people with dementia.

Amenities at Signal Pointe include a gift shop, manicured gardens with winding pathways, five adjoining bungalows in a secure environment designed to encourage independence and social interaction, library and smoking room.
